Acrylics and Textures | Kids Summer Classes 10-13 yrs | Wednesdays

A fun, hands-on exploration of acrylic painting where kids create bold, textured artworks using simple tools and techniques.
This series is designed to build foundational art skills—while encouraging creativity, confidence, and personal expression.

Each session introduces a new theme, with guided instruction and space for kids to explore their own ideas and complete a finished piece.

What We’ll Explore

Week 1 – Tropical Tote Bag
Design and paint your own tropical flora and fauna themed tote bag inspired by colorful leaves, flowers, and birds. Kids will explore simple patterns, color combinations, and creative composition to bring their design to life in a fun and expressive way.

Week 2 – Floral Bouquet
Create a vibrant floral bouquet using bold colors and expressive acrylic strokes. Kids will explore painting flowers and foliage in a loose, painterly style—focusing on overall composition, color, and movement rather than fine detail or realism.

Week 3 – Texture Ocean
Create a textured ocean scene inspired by waves, shoreline, and sandy textures. Kids will explore building layers using acrylic paint and mixed materials, and finish their artwork by adding shells and other embellishments.

Week 4 – Textured Florals                                                                                                       Kids will create vibrant textured floral designs, combining bold flowers and leaves to build a visually rich composition. This session focuses on building texture using modeling paste while creating something expressive and unique.

How Session Flows

• Warm-up and technique exploration
• Guided demonstration based on the theme
• Hands-on project with room for personal expression
• Time to complete and take home a finished artwork

Each child will complete one finished artwork per session.

• $65 drop-in single session
• $60/session for multi-session bookings or sibling sign-ups
  

You can pick and choose any days and sessions across all three tracks:
Mondays (Folk Art) · Tuesdays (Watercolor) · Wednesdays (Acrylic & Texture)

Led by Radhika, the sessions are beginner-friendly and relaxed. Art For Me Studio is calm space where kids can slow down, observe, and enjoy the process of creating.

ABOUT RADHIKA

Radhika is an artist and founder of Art For Me Studio. She creates nature-inspired work rooted in calm and simplicity. Her art has been exhibited and sold across the Bay Area, and she loves sharing this practice through workshops and classes.

Over the past three years, she has guided 280+ students (kids + adults) through in-person classes, workshops and social/corporate events, creating a relaxed, welcoming space to explore creativity. 

Supplies: All supplies will be provided.

Duration: 9AM - 12 PM | Wednesdays in June ( With a small snack break in between. Kids need to get their own snacks)

Drop-off: 8:50 AM · Pick-up: 12:10 PM

Your spot is reserved once full payment is received. Missed classes, no-shows, and any deposits are non-refundable.

Please note that make-up sessions are not offered for missed classes.

Studio-Initiated Changes
If a session is canceled by Art For Me Studio due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be initiated.
