Watercolor Sunflowers | 2 week class

Step into a joyful watercolor experience where you'll explore the beauty of painting loose, expressive sunflowers. Using vibrant yellows, rich earthy tones, and fluid brushwork, you'll discover how a few simple strokes can come together to create bold, luminous blooms full of movement and life.

In Week 1, you'll focus on creating soft, glowing sunflower petals using loose watercolor techniques, allowing colors to blend naturally while building confidence with expressive brushstrokes. You'll also explore simple leaf and foliage shapes that beautifully complement the flowers.

In Week 2, you'll bring your sunflower composition to life by adding depth, contrast, and finishing details to create a vibrant, balanced painting. Along the way, you'll learn how to embrace watercolor's natural flow and paint with freedom rather than perfection.

Designed for beginners as well as anyone looking for a relaxing creative escape, this class is all about slowing down, enjoying the process, and discovering the joy of loose watercolor.

Led by Radhika, the sessions are beginner-friendly, relaxed, and open to both teens and adults. You'll be part of a small, welcoming group where participants may be exploring different watercolor themes at their own pace.

There's no pressure to get it "right"—just a calm, inspiring space to unwind, explore, and leave with a beautiful sunflower painting you'll be proud to display. 🌻

ABOUT RADHIKA

Radhika is a full-time watercolor artist and founder of Art For Me Studio. She creates nature-inspired work rooted in calm and simplicity. Her art has been exhibited and sold across the Bay Area, and she loves sharing this practice through workshops and classes.

Over the past three years, she has guided 280+ students through in-person classes, workshops and social/corporate events, creating a relaxed, welcoming space to explore creativity.

Supplies

All high quality artist-grade supplies will be provided.

• Watercolor paints
• 300 gsm cold-pressed watercolor paper (9” × 12”), 2 sheets
• Round watercolor brushes (sizes 1, 4, 6, 8 or similar)

Duration: 2 weeks | 1.5 hr session each

• $110 per person

Reservations, Refunds & Cancellations
Your spot is reserved once full payment is received. Workshop registrations, missed classes, no-shows, and any deposits are non-refundable.

Registrations close 24 hrs before the start date.

Transfers & Make-up
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person at least 7 days prior, subject to availability.  All transfer requests must be made by emailing studioartforme@gmail.com.

No make-up is offered for participant absences on 2 week classes.

Studio-Initiated Changes
If a session is canceled by Art For Me Studio due to unforeseen circumstances, a makeup session will be arranged for the missed class.
